Excellent Hotel Days Inn Myrtle Beach Hotel-Myrtle Beach, Ocean Blvd, SC
The pool and river was excellent. They had a nice food court with pizza and sandwiches. The onsite store was well stocked. The room was very nicely furnished and had a great ocean view. This hotel made me feel comfortable: I had two young girls with me and they were at ease. The noise level in the halls and pools was appropriate.

First Baptist Church, Columbia
Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the First Baptist Church in Columbia was the site of the first Secession Convention in 1860 which led to the Civil War. The original church, built in 1811, was located at the corner of Sumter and Hampton Streets and was replaced by a second church in 1859. Amazingly, the church survived the “Burning of Columbia” on February 17, 1865, during the Federal occupation. The pulpit furnishings, slave balcony and brick-pillared portico are as they were then. For more information, call the Columbia Metropolitan Convention and Visitors Bureau: (803) 545-0000.
